Artist Biography:
Sandy is a graduate of UND. She has a BFA with her emphasis in Ceramics. Sandy has been working with clay since 1993, mostly as a functional potter. Her first clay class was a hand building class followed by throwing on a kick wheel. Her love of the kick wheel influenced her art in becoming functional. Her favorite functional form is the Bowl. Along with being a board member of MWCC she is also one of the founding members. She has been an active volunteer teaching throwing classes at MWCC. She's donated pottery to the Womens Foundation, NOVAC, the Human Society and other nonprofit organization. Pottery has been a positive influence in her life that she likes to share with others.
